Satyam Rai, is a young Fashion Photographer from Sikkim, currently based at Milan, Italy. He basically completed his Bachelors in Engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and later chose to follow and live his dream of Photography.
Satyam says: photography is my passion would be an understatement as I believe that it is an extension of myself; something without which I would be incomplete.I consider photographs not as static pictures, but as a form of language that speaks to the viewer. I incorporate my creativity by playing with emotions, gestures, moods and spaces that express meanings at different levels. Every photo-shoot, for me, is not just work, but an opportunity to bring an idea into life thereby creating art.

He is specialized in editorials, beauty shots and commercial works.
Satyam has also won many photography competitions and received much accolades within and outside the state.
*1st position in state level photography contest organized by the Government of Sikkim (IPR 2012
*2nd position in state-level photography contest entitled “ Project Gangtok”
*1st position in inter-college photography contest organized by IIT Guwahati
*2nd position in inter-college photography contest organized by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology

Faces of Social Campaign - Nirnay Chettri

Nirnay John Chettri is the founder of Mankind in Action for Rural Growth(MARG) NGO from Darjeeling. MARG is a house hold name fighting against the most heinous human trafficking Nirnay John Chettri hails from "Darjeeling" located on the North Eastern part of India in the state of West Bengal. Got his early education from St. Joseph's School, Darjeeling and later passed out form St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He has worked with British Council New Delhi administrating all the UK based exams in Delhi. He has also also worked for Library Information Services. Assisted Mr. Borgoyary in indev and was a co trainer on Web Publication. He also worked for OneWorld South Asia as Programme and Partnership Coordinator and Administrative Officer, New Delhi. His love for Darjeeling and the Hills brought him back home to serve the people. A nature lover, Loves to trek in the Himalayas and wants to do something for the betterment of the Society.

Nirnay John Chettri has ignited smiles on many faces by his relentless philanthropic activities in and around the hills and the whole of the country. A big Shout Out to this man of good heart!!

Faces of Social Campaign - Puran Tamang

Puran Tamang is a senior journalist from Namchi, South Sikkim. Presently he is working with the english daily Sikkim Now, All India Radio and Dainik Jagran. He has also been awarded with the prestigious State award on Journalism (Best rural reporting) 2008 by the Government of Sikkim. He is also the Founder of Voluntary Blood Donor's Association of Sikkim (VBDAS) which have more than 1000 volunteers across the state at present. The organization not only focuses on organising blood donation campaigns but also helps/assist the people in various circumstances of emergency.
He is also the founder member cum publicity secretary of Namchi Table Tennis Association. This association basically provides the platform for exposure to the upcoming TT talents in both state and national levels.

Sherab Chopel Bhutia is a multi talented lad from Sikkim. He is a photo artist, singer and an actor. He has already acted in a short fiction movie "Creme Brulee" which is Directed by Rizwan Khan from San Fransisco under the banner of Red Panda Films. He is presently pursuing his M.Tech from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim.
